Points from gas stations
Re: Points from gas stations
kbet, I have not been able to use Sobey's gift cards to purchase lottery here, although they accepted OLG gift cards. Perhaps your sobey is more lenient.
Re: Points from gas stations
possibly, but I've done it at multiple locations. another way out is to buy other gift cards with your Sobey's gift cards. (like OLG or gas station)
Re: Points from gas stations
sobeys, buy $25 OLG card, get 25 air miles

Just to add an extra 2% to your overall return, be sure to attach the Amplii app to your RBC card.
It pays out cash.

hey Richhhh,
Looks like the Rogers WE card is being devalued later this year (June). 1.75% will be decreased to 1.50%.
Sad days ahead it seems.

[Feb 29 to Mar 06] - [ Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix (QC) ] - Canadian Tire: Get A Bonus $25 Canadian Tire GC When You Purchase $300 In Canadian tire GCs
just heads up for 3 years in a row I've had problem with CT gift cards purchased at SDM whereby the balance was stolen. Although CT did replace them eventually it was a pain to file complaint with them. Caveat Emptor.

Re: Points from gas stations
For CT deal at SDM, they stupidly made the limit $500 per customer, when a multiple of $300 would have made a lot more sense! I guess I’ll be hitting multiple stores and/or doing individual $300 transactions. I just ran out of my last batch of cards, so the timing of this deal is perfect.
Re: Points from gas stations
Pretty sure buying gift cards with gift cards is not allowed.

New Tangerine World MC is piece of s***, twice this week I tried to buy CT GC from shopper, only to have it declined because they put some kind of security monitor on my card because I purchase too much GC, even though with the previous Tangerine MC I had no issue at all.
Spent 30+ min waiting on the phone for a security rep, horrible, doesn't care about a long time customer who spends a ton on their MC!

Richhh...
You can buy other gift cards with Loblaws gift cards at Loblaws.
The problem with Rogers WE card now is you need to buy at least 15k of purchases in order to keep the WE card, otherwise they will demote you into their lower rebate paying cards. that sucks!
RBC is a bit of a strange bank. I don't bank there personally, but their credit cards are quite good.
