PLP site does not recognize my user name

I had an account last year and am unable to log in on the PLP site with my user name or e-mail. Even if I register under a new name and e-mail, it gives me the error "Sorry, this username already exists". I've tried many obscure user names and it keeps saying the same thing. Admittedly, I'm not 100% sure what e-mail I registered with (but I'm confident I'm using the right one). I know my user name was the same as the one I'm currently using in this forum. Thanks for any help in the matter.

I recently upgraded the software that handles memberships - there seem to be a few problems ......
