Don't feel the enthusiasm like previous years, maybe because Proline has lost its luster with all the changes and the amount of competition & the weak betting numbers (NO TIES, NO +7 ODDS) but at least POOLS remains.

15 g Week 1, usually the first 3 weeks are where you bet heavy because of the not-knowing aspect. 9 road dogs 6 home dogs

NYG/TEN For some reason, Ten doesn't seem to be the team like previous years, They lost a lot of players on both the O-line & WR positions. Who is Tannehill going to throw to & if he does will they be caught. Its Tannehill!!!! New HC Daboll brings his winning ways to NY. He did wonders for QB Allen, maybe he could do it for for QB Jones. & besides NYG addressed a lot of hole in their team, namely the O-line.

JAG/WAS Another team that improved over the season. This time they got a real HC in Pederson who goes up against his former QB Wentz. This won't be a major upset if Jags win but a win is a win. Was is terrible at home.

So far the pool is at $144K (Sep 10 3:30PM) . Weak, very weak

Let's see what happens as the estimated pool size approaches the cut-off. Many people typically get their NFL Pools Tickets in on Sunday mornings. I think there are a few reasons why the pool size may not be as big this year as in the past

1. The inflation and rising interest rates have taken a big bite out of everyone's disposable income/gambling budget. There is just no other way to sugarcoat it

2. There are too many individuals/groups boxing too many games, diluting the payouts, so many casual bettors no longer see the interest in this.

3. The introduction of the new platform certainly threw players somewhat of a curveball. I know Pools will continue slips so the format stay the same, more or less, but I know ProLine sales are way down, based on anecdotal conversations with the store owners I frequent and I wonder if that will carry over into Pools as well.

That is my understanding, prt. Pools is the only OLG sports lottery product that still needs to be played physically in the stores.

I see an option on the OLG site to pick your selections, which will generate a barcode, which you can presumably scan with the QR Barcode scanner in the stores.

It may just be easier to fill out the slips, especially if you are planning to box games.

sure enough, picks i selected on phone at home, gone when i came to store... then olg kick me out saying i was outside of ontario, won't let me do picks, so i finished somehow do 2 quick picks, so far one ticket has 3 wrong, another 3 right results, not bad olg
