No vig Calculator

Post by beatthesystem » Fri Oct 16, 2015 1:37 pm

Hi guys

I am new to this site so please be patient with me.

I went to http://sportsbettingsites.org/betting-t ... alculator/ to calculate the no vig line and no vig winning %

This is the problem I am having. On Bet365 There is a collage football game wake forest vs north carolina.

When looking at alternative totals 42.5 has an over at -795 and under at +333......this equals to a no vig % on the over of 79.37 and the no vig odds of -394

I then after compared the same game but total of 43 where the line is -700 over and +400 under....no vig % on over is 81.4 and no vig odds are -437.....

From these results it says i have a better chance of winning over 43 then 42.5....this does not makes sense to me, can someone please help explain

I get confused looking at those stupid american odds :D Looks like you are comparing lines from different sportsbook that charge different percentages of vig. The first line is definitely charging more vig then the second. Different books are not going to have the same implied win% from there lines especially with these alternative lines either. The rec books may even choose to put all the vig on the favorite leaving a break even line on the dog to maximize profits.
